Did some digging as this is one of my areas of annoyance (because of long study of geology, these guys and the new earth guys really yank my chain- the hollow earth guys, OTOH, just make me fall over laughing.) These guys are major doctrine over logic salesmen. So I don't doubt the conference is real.
