Thanks-- I'll drop by and check that out. I found a lj community a few days ago that does a similar thing, but in either case, you have to know what you don't know to make use of such a resource, and in that case, I was woefully ignorant.
I know that memory scene is not in the books, but my first writing fandom was Buffy, so visual information from movies or tv filter into my brain as a matter of course. As with that scene in the movie, it captures a whole host of little things he did to place himself between his charges and protect them from harm, a visual shorthand sort of summing up.
