If you notice, most of the ends of chapters are dramatic pauses, at least. That seems to be the model for this medium (live journal episodic story posts), and I think it works well. Initially, I intended to post one at a time over a longer period. But, no willpower (plus, I think it takes the first 3 parts to really get a reader to buy in and be willing to follow the rest), and then the ficathon let me in and shortened my posting timeframe a bit more. Plus, I noticed that I really couldn't leave a reader at some of those pauses. Believe it or not, this was the best place. The last 3 parts are each longer, and the next 2 are pretty demanding emotionally. I will do my best to get 12 up this weekend, though, beta feedback or no.

And thanks for the other comments. It's nice to know what I'm doing right.
