I started killing time over lunch posting "Two Dads" and "Lost Boys" on ff.net. One odd thing-- it seems to be ignoring my *** between segments. What do people use to show a break between sections within a chapter? And is it possible to get that in there by editing the file already uploaded, or do I have to delete and resubmit?

Thanks to anyone who can point me the right direction.

Oh-- here's my page over there, for anyone who wants it: http://www.fanfiction.net/u/1292602/

In much more serious news, my son's friend's mom, the one who's had cancer all year, and who recently was given what they thought was a clean bill of health, was moved to hospice yesterday. Those who are inclined to pray or send positive energy to her and her family, please do. I am mostly doing the avoidance thing, because otherwise I get so angry at life's unfairness that I can't think straight. And I am not looking forward to telling Wee Hob tonight.

I better get back to it. Hugs to all.

ff.net deletes all *s (as well as some other characters) for some reason. I find the best way is to insert a horizontal line, like so

between sections. You can do that by going to the "Documents" section, edit the documents (the horizontal line is inserted with one of the buttons, next to the bold and italic things) and then under Stories->Edit->Content/Chapters choosing "Replace chapter" way at the bottom and replacing the content of a chapter with the edited document.

Did that make sense...?

So very sorry to hear about your son's friend's mom.
