I finally got around tonight to applying beta feedback to the 11th chapter of In Loco Parentis. For anyone who's following it, you can find it here. Comments, as always, are welcome. I'm afraid that I must admit failure as a beta. I did get to read it finally, but with writing three papers, my dissertation, and getting caught up in what is threatening to become a rather dreadful legal battle with my condo association (they are going down I tell you!), I don't think I'll be able to do your story justice. I would greatly enjoy the opportunity to beta for you in the future when I'm not trying to finish my Ph.D.. I'm really very sorry.

No failure at all, my dear-- I remember how grueling school and court matters were (and I wasn't trying to do both at once.) I'd love for you to beta for me some other time, when your life settles down. I also know how painful my early drafts can be-- close but frustratingly off, and hard to put your finger on why. I don't blame research_girl or sahiya for bailing on it, either.

I hope the finished products bring you a little enjoyment and stress relief, though. Best of luck with all your stuff.
