Okay, I was bad last night-- a paltry count, mostly because I chatted with a new nanowrimo in the local area, setting up a write in meet up on Sunday, and then I got sucked into another rec on clavally's rec page (Lioness Prophecies). Not her fault-- she recc'ed it ages ago and when I went out I found my login had expired because of some site issues. So when I got the email saying, "hey, you're all fixed" I of course had to go out and see....

I need to get out away from the internetz where I have nothing else to do but force myself to follow these threads of stories-- my stories, not someone else's. That's the goal for the weekend. But now, I have to get ready for the obligatory gathering. Happy Thanksgiving to all. Hopefully I'll get something written later.

Hee! Sorry to have helped drag you away from writing, but it is a good fic. Actually, I think I just like all the descriptions of clothes and the seasonal rooms and whatnot, lol.

Thanks, lady. I like parts of the story a lot-- the Original Character of great grandfather Septimus is wonderful, as are some others. Sometimes the characterizations waver -- Snape and Hermione sometimes seem cut and pasted from an Austen novel and not at all themselves, and unusually talky. And Dumbledore is certifiable in places. But if you suspend disbelief at that, some scenes realy are lovely. And you're right-- the descriptions of the rooms and the society are really well done.

I may hit 50K this month, but I could still miss it if I slack off now. This is really the last weekend to accumulate tons of count, and I'm running out of ideas. That part is really kind of scary...
