Happy Birthday

Just a quick drive by to wish two amazing people on my f-list a Happy Birthday. antennapedia is the one you have to blame for why I'm out here on LJ polluting your friends page in the first place. And penwiper26 is one of the first people I friended, based on her kind and perceptive comments in antennapedia's journal, early on. I am in awe of them both for their skillful writing, and their generosity. I like to think I'm a better person for their influence, and that neither of them is the worse for mine.

Sadly, I have nothing concrete to offer them just now, having been too busy freaking out with nano this month. But I do offer them my best wishes, and a promise for comments on recent posts/ fic soon.

I did it. Well, we did. Thanks to everyone who offered prayers, support, advice, hugs, or who didn't smack me silly for whining about how hard it was at times. Now I owe some beta work to lady_clover and I still intend to hit a couple more write ins now that I've discovered them, though I will now be editing, not trying to pull 1667 more words out of my -- you know. I still have to finish all three parts of the novel I've imaginatively titled "Triptych", not to mention give Giles another shot at literary criticism.

But for now, I'm taking lady_clover's advice from the other night and getting a glass of warm milk, some warm jammies and just chilling out. Good night, all.
