I've been so tired today. Working from home was cool, except for, you know, the actual work part. Which was mostly reading things I had not the slightest understanding of, and trying to get my examples to work like those in the book.

The Lad was very good-- after the backpack fiasco of last night, he actually did his homework on his own, without even being asked. Kept him occupied all morning. Also made his own breakfast, with minimal supervision-- mostly of the clean up reminders variety. Then lunch with an old co-worker, library to recheck some books, and to the church down the street to vote. Something about the wet and cold is just sapping all my strength, though.

I'm not going to inflict my plot musings on anyone, though. I'm trying to get a handle on who this Lilly is, and what she's about, and how her life intersects this magical world (the latter-- not at all, until Ellen came along).

I'm doubtful I can get 200 words for the rest of the week, as I will be in rehearsals every night, or performances Friday and Saturday. But I'll try to check in and see what the rest of you are up to.
