Nudge Received

Just a quick note in response to a nudge from
lady_clover. Has it really been only 2 weeks? Not years, or centuries?
I survived my first week of teaching with minimal drama and adventure. This is the most exhausting work I have ever done, but I think I love it. It will get easier as I figure what the hell I am doing and I get lesson plans in place to work with.
I haven't been reading LJ at all-- too much real life to take care of. Ping me with a link if there's something I missed you think I should see. I do check email regularly.
I came home tonight with a headache and crashed for a couple of hours. I need to get lesson plans made, but I think I'm going to let all my classes work on their papers in class tomorrow and ask for help as needed, so that lets me somewhat off the hook. I don't have to write a lecture from scratch until next week in AM Lit, and I have Monday off to give me an extra day to try to get plans a few days or weeks out.
And my Beloved is in the process of negotiating a lease on a place for us to live, after which he can start moving himself here. Then Wee Hob and I will join him. We can start building a family in earnest while searching for a house to buy and all.
All in all, my life is going pretty well. I'll give a more detailed report later; at the moment, my energy level is still pretty low. I do miss everyone and wish you all well.
Oh-- and Wee Hob has straight B's again, except for the 2 B+ on his report card. He's doing well, and he has to start picking high school classes next week. Also has begun getting braces and is not thrilled about it, but wants to be manly about the pain.
Think that's all for now. As soon as my schedule settles, I'll be writing again; I have at least one thing in a beta's hands.
Love to all.
