Ramblings from the 'goblinn

I admit I never got through Peter Pan. But what I took from the beginning was an abandoned boy who clings to Neverland, kind of afraid of when might happen if he went back to real life and grew up. And don't the other boys eventually choose to go back and embrace humanity? There was an odd sense of melancholy/ conflict about it that stuck with me. But I could be misremembering. Kinda hope not, as I think that's more the angle I want to use.
