5. In spring of 1989, I started dating a guy who was a Mac engineer at a business software company. Early in the relationship, he warned me he was headed to California someday. I said great, let me know when to pack. Sure enough, Apple brought us out in '92 and we got married in either '95 or '96. I really need to remember which before our next anniversary. Yes, I come back somewhat regularly because both of our families still live there. I started using nemain as a login for the unix at UC when my friend studied in CCM's broadcasting division and wound up in charge of their honking big unix system. Nemain is one of the Celtic battlefield goddesses- part of the Macha. Specifically, she's the goddess of chaos and panic, which was pretty fitting for me during my college years. (late eighties) Nemaihne is an off-the-cuff misspelling of nemain. I made it up over a decade ago when I couldn't remember my Yahoo password for nemain and I was giving random false information for all online accounts so there was no way to recover it. For some reason nemaihne stuck and I tend to use it now, which is fortunate because nemain has since become the name of a heavy metal band and I'm not a fan.
I only have one userpic because I only need one userpic. Probably says something about my personality, huh? ;)
