Ramblings from the 'goblinn

You know what really bugs me? Why do fanfic writers team up young women and way older men (example Hermione and Snape, Hermione and Lupin) but I've never seen older women with younger men? Are older women so undesirable that a young man couldn't see her experience and maturity as an asset? I'd really love to read a fic where a younger man falls in love with an older woman and it has a happy ending. Not something where their destined to be torn apart for some reason because "oh heaven forbid the older woman ever finds happiness with a younger man or vice-versa!" *rolls eyes*
