Well, I got bogged down when I decided to let the Dursleys come home, so I decided to turn to a different story, the original idea I had. Not the work one-- I was enjoying being away from the Pit O' Vipers too much to visit there today, even for Art's sake. I had had written a bit of Unearned Luck some months ago when I first got the idea. I decided to write a "before that" segment, and was pleased to flesh out and deepen the original character and his relationships, see what kind of a life he will be leaving, and how he might feel about it. Also felt good that, sometimes, I write damned good openings. Got bogged down in the afternoon (plot and what it's about still don't seem to be on speaking terms, in any of my projects) and by early evening I was re-reading HG/SS fanfic off [livejournal.com profile] clavally's rec links page, and wondering if this stomach ailment I seem to be getting will abate by morning, as I surely will not get away with another day off for anything short of "barfing up a lung," as Mr. Bueller might put it.

Anyway, It was a pretty good vacation day, even with the Wee Hob underfoot for the morning. We have some new drugs for him now, too, though it's too soon to tell how well they'll work. But I live in hope.

The obligatory progress meter, with thanks to [livejournal.com profile] antennapedia. As the Nano folks say, "if you think you're writing a novel, we think so...." So shh.. don't tell them I'm switching around. I'm not counting any words not newly written this month, though, even if I am doing substantial edits to the material as I reread.

Oooh, what are you re-reading? Have you read "The Lioness Prophecies" yet? Actually, I'm not sure I got around to adding it to my list, so maybe not. Will have to check later tonight.

Anyway, *hugs* and all that. Good luck with the continued writing.

"Tidings of Comfort and Joy", and then "The Fire and the Rose" 1 & 2. I have to swear off this stuff-- I won't get any writing done otherwise. But I'm glad your links list is there.

You should check out the [livejournal.com profile] snape_after_dh community and read some of the fic that ficathon generated. There are some really good ones that deserve to be on your recs list.

I don't think I've read "Lioness Prophecies" yet, unless it's the same as a WIP I'm following with lioness in the title by an amazing german author. I better get to work. How's Piracy?

Oh, those are two very good ones! No, the Lioness one isn't a wip and just looked and saw it's not on my list, I must rectify that soon.

Piracy is fun, as always. Writing has come to a standstill. Am hoping our write-in on Saturday will fix this.
