Day 12 word count = 2827

Well, I got a very interesting scene with Severus and Minerva written tonight, one in which I get to do a little more with the Charity Burbage backstory-- a significant flashback to Snape cleaning out her office and having Minerva burst in on him and figure out that things are not as they appear. It fits into canon because they mutually agree that he has to obliviate her. But before he does, she gives him her ear and support, as a human and his friend, not as a “semi-sentient portrait with delusions of grandeur.”

I’m still trying to work out what this fic is going to be about. But it already has a couple of pretty cool scenes.

okay, you asked for it

A short fragment from an earlier night, then last night's take on the same material. Unedited, unbeta'd, read at your own risk, etc. Thanks again to sunsethill, who asked for it, and others who commented. I think I have a direction for this now.

This is Christmas day at the Potter's, Snape is a ghost, and the story when it's done is meant as a continuation to Lost Boys. Think that's about all you need to know. One thing I'd really like feedback on is how jarring the present/ past shifts are. I'm trying to capture echoes of one in the other, but I'm not sure how well I'm succeeding. May be a bit too echoey.

Also, what would Minerva transfigure Snape's wand into?
